JUDY MEAGHER taught elementary school for 47 years. 20 of those years were in California and the other 27 years were in Bozeman, Montana.
She taught students from Kindergarten through 8th Grade and worked with the Learning Disabled, Title I, Special Education, and with Speech Difficulties. She has a Master's Degree from MONTANA STATE UNIVERSITY and is working on her Doctorate. She also supervised student teachers from Montana State University.
Her husband ...MIKE MEAGHER...was the principal of LONGFELLOW SCHOOL for 21 years.
Judy has written and illustrated books and articles for Scholastic Professional Books, the Times Mirror Company, and was a regular contributor to Instructor Magazine, Creative Classroom, and a reviewer of materials for Workman Publishing Company.
In this book the author takes us on a journey from the day that "Running Bear" met "Little White Dove" and tells the story from the beginning, through the joys, diagnosis, and heartbreak of losing a loved one a little bit each day. The story also relates the way the person who is diagnosed is feeling as he notices himself slipping away a little more each day.
